Jeff Hanson teaches Writing for Public Speaking (105PS), Professional Writing for Global Careers (107G), and Business and Administrative Writing (107B), as well as graduate courses in the English for Multilingual Speakers Program / Linguistics.
Jeffrey Hanson teaches professional writing courses related to domestic and global careers, and he is jointly appointed in the Writing Program and EMS/Linguistics Program. His research interests include professional communication (domestic and international), multilingual English, multimedia presentation design, and collaboration. His academic background includes numerous conference presentations and workshops and four years of teacher-training abroad--in Estonia, Hungary, Russia, and Saudi Arabia--under the U.S. State Department. He received UCSB's Distinguished Teaching Award in 2007.
