AJ Burgin comes to the UCSB Writing Program from the University of Washington, where she served as Assistant Director for the Expository Writing Program. Her teaching centers on purpose-driven writing, public-facing genres of compostiton, and multimodal design. She is a co-author and editor of Writer/Thinker/Maker, a composition textbook released in 2017.
