Pandemic Experiences Creative Nonfiction Writing Initiative

The Pandemic Experiences Creative Nonfiction Writing Initiative is an opportunity for students to reflect creatively on their experiences since March 2020, from the challenges they’ve endured to the wisdom they’ve gained. It is open to sophomore, junior, and senior undergraduate students.
 
Students interested in the Creative Nonfiction Initiative are expected to do the following:
  • Meet with their mentor regularly
  • Participate in up to two seminar-style workshops
  • Create a multimedia story about their pandemic experiences for the Writing Program
  • website
  • Participate in the year-end showcase

Application

Please submit the following information in order to apply to the program:
I. Personal Information: Name, umail address, and phone number
II. Project title and possible mentor in the Writing Program
III. Project Overview: Briefly describe your multimedia project and your pandemic story. Explain the motivation for your project. Indicate what you ultimately intend to accomplish by the end of the year and present at the year-end showcase. (250-500 words)
