Grades
  • All faculty submit grades using the eGrades (https://egrades.sa.ucsb.edu) system. For more information see the Program Assistant or view the electronic grading tip sheet for instructors.
  • TAs only: Grades are assigned by you but grade sheets are signed or eGrades are approved by your supervisor on the eGrades system. Arrange with him/her to discuss grades before they are due.
  • Incompletes: ONLY THE DIRECTOR OF THE WRITING PROGRAM CAN APPROVE AN INCOMPLETE.
    Under no circumstance sign an incomplete form. Students requesting an incomplete should be referred to the Director of the Writing Program. If you feel that an incomplete would be in the best interest of your student, and you wish to advocate for him/her, speak to your supervisor and/or the Director of the Writing Program. (See Nick Tingle if you have any questions.)

  • Petitions for late or retroactive withdrawals must be signed by the instructor of record and the Director. Consult the Director on these student petitions.
