Students used Flash to create animated and/or interactive new media works.
The assignment specified that the work should illustrate a short piece
of writing and should "implicitly offer an interpretation of the
text; choose elements in your design with that in mind."
In their
project reports, students explained their intentions and their choices,
discussed other new media works that inspired them, and speculated on
a definition of new media based on their experiences during the quarter.
