...Madeleine Sorapure teaches Writing 2E and Writing 50E in the Writing for Engineers sequence, along with Writing in the Social Sciences (Writing 109SS) and Scientific and Technical Writing (Writing 109ST). She also teaches Writing in New Media (Writing 105NM), a course focused on the theory and practice of new media composing with an emphasis on work done in Photoshop and Flash. Her research interests include online writing, autobiographical writing in new media, popular culture, and contemporary fiction. Together with Michael Petracca, she has published a composition reader/textbook on popular culture, entitled Common Culture (Prentice Hall, 5th edition). Other publications include articles on new media, autobiography, and contemporary fiction in Computers and Composition, Kairos, Biography, Modern Fiction Studies, and elsewhere.
