Randi Browning teaches Writing 1 and 2 ACE, Writing 2LK (Psych),
Writing 50 (Research), Writing 60 (Tutoring Writing), Writing 109SS (Social
Sciences), and Writing 109ED (Teaching Profession). She is also a
Co-Director of the South Coast Writing Project and directs a pre-service
institute for teacher candidates. Prior to joining the Writing Program at
UCSB, Randi designed and directed the writing program at Principia College.
Her professional background is in Writing across the Curriculum (faculty,
tutor, and program development; writing center and WAC program
administration), as well as teacher education, rhetoric, and business
writing. Additionally, her research and writing interests include
experimental writing, political rhetoric, teacher response strategies,
online writing classes, and midwifery (the rhetoric of childbirth).
